The Neverland Wars Merch: A Behind the Scenes Look

Years ago, I designed artwork and graphics for silkscreening, working with small businesses to bring a personal flair to their brands. I created designs for T-shirts, hoodies, tank tops, hats, stickers, and other such merch that they could sell in their stores and on their websites.

The most challenging part was when those businesses wanted embroidery on their hats. The designs often had to be recreated with fewer colors, and finding the right hats with the right size of embroidery (2-4 inches were the usual choices, but not every facility was capable of producing exactly what the client required).

Later, I created merch designs for Twitch Streamers, and would absolutely do that again. Working with Twitch Streamers - fellow gamers - is such a joy.

These experiences designing merch for small businesses and Twitch Streamers etched in me a deep desire to create my own merch, with my own artwork. I made merch. with my artwork in 2020-2021 for my own Twitch channel, with a different style than my traditional ink work. When I had the idea for The Neverland Wars art collection, I felt the artwork would lend itself well to apparel and other items. From the first illustration (“All Bad” featuring Tinker Bell), I knew that I would create digital versions of the art to place on apparel, home goods, journals, and stickers, at minimum.

It all started with a desire, an idea, and, of course, Tinker Bell.
